5th Grade Sternum Story

One of my favorite memories of 5th grade was the time I made my teacher bust up laughing after I said an innocent but also inappropriate remark.

So my teacher, Miss Blackburn was teaching our 5th grade class about the human anatomy. She would point to a bone and the class yelled out the correct answer. Which didn't always happen.

So Miss Blackburn pointed to what was obviously the chest or the STERNUM.

However, for some stupid reason I blurted out SCROTUM!!! (I seriously was thinking sternum but somehow scrotum came out.)

Miss Blackburn was in shambles because she was laughing so hard. She didn't talk for like a minute. Also, I don't think the whole class understood the meaning of the word scrotum. What makes this story such a great story is my best buddy, Jefe. His older brother married my 5th grade teacher.

Just imagine... seeing your 5th grade teacher at your buddies house and almost with out fail she laughs about the time you yelled scrotum in front of the whole class. LOL!!!

Today I went to lunch with my friend Rebecca. As we were in mid conversation an aquantance passed by Rebecca and said, "Hey! How are...(pause) you?"

My friend Rebecca responds,"Hey!!! Do you even remember my name?"

Dave answers, "I have no idea."

I say "Her name is Rebecca."

They finish chatting their casual conversation then Dave taps me on my shoulder and says, "Sorry, I forgot your fiance's name."

I was like WOAH! We're not engaged!

After me and Rebecca laughted our heads off.

Fifteen Nieces and Nephews

This Thanksgiving I found it hard to resist to blog about how thankful I am for my nieces and nephews. All 15 of them are so sweet and kind to me. It's literally contagious. And when they don't get what they want they forgive and forget so quickly.

The one in the dark red shirt and a bow in her hair is so funny. Hadley, came up to me after Thanksgiving dinner, wiggled her fingers (like when you want up) and said, "hold me." As an uncle I couldn't help but be so thankful for my nieces and nephews.

What a great example to me they are of love and friendship. Love ya guys!!!

My Roommate and his Herpes

So my roommate has been really sick lately. One day he wakes with a rash and a huge head ache. He then goes to the doctor.

When he gets back from the doctor he asks me, "So guess what the doctor told me I have?" I say, "I don't know, laziness?"

He said, "No, I got HERPES!!!"

(My favorite response ever by me)

"Oh my gosh!!! Who did you have "S" with?!!!"

Turns out was not the genital herpes I was thinking of. It was the herpes you get by being really stressed out, a version of chicken pox. Hhahahhah Sorry for the mix up roomie. Get well.

I don't know why but I catch funny pick up lines. Today I heard one but I still don't know what to think of it.

Guy: Hey, who are you?
Girl: (Totally surprised girl) Ahh... my name is Cindy... Who are you?
Guy: I'm Dave... I just wanted to know who you are. Well, Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Girl: Ahh... okay... it was nice to meet you.

Remembering a Good Year

I can't believe a whole year has past. I've changed so much. I never thought I would be where I am or doing what I am doing. Never in a million years.

No wife. No kids. Just school and work. While being an Uncle. Nice and simple. Just how I like it. Not much to worry about. Nice life eh? What do you think?
